Meeting the extended Florida family, part one

Last weekend we flew across country to meet Amy's extended family. It wasn't Zachary's first time on a plane, but it was his first time on a long 5+ hr cross-country flight. Luckily we were able to get non-stop flights in both directions (thanks, Kathie!) which made things a little easier. As usual, Zach was a dream on the flight. Very chill and easy going, with only a little fussing here and there, usually because he was tired or hungry or both.

We got to Miami on Saturday night. Kevin (Amy's brother), Jo, Ian and Connor - the Arizona Days, as they're now known - were also there. We all stayed in Pat & Kathie's house, the same one where Amy and Kevin grew up. Even with the three kids, it never seemed that crowded. It was great to have the boys together again.

On Sunday afternoon, Amy's grandparents, uncle and aunts and their children came over for a get together-meet Zach & Connor party. Here are just some of the photos from the day. I'll be posting more photos from the rest of the weekend soon.

Zach eyeing (Amy's) Uncle Ken's food

Cousins Matt (l), and Chris (r), Ken & Alice's sons.
Chris just finished his first year at UF - GO GATORS!

Zach sharing a laugh with Aunt Patty and her husband, Layton

Zach and his cousin, Kristin (Aunt Patty's daughter)

Zach and Connor giving each other the baby high five

Zach is showing Aunt Alice one of his favorite books

Matt reading to Ian. All Ian wanted to do
was play with his cousin Matt. Very sweet.

Papa and Zach sharing a food moment.

Uncle Kevin, Ian and Amy reading Amy's favorite childhood book, "Miss Suzy"

This was hilarious. While sitting in his mom's arms,
with his dad right next to him, Connor sees the photo
of his mom and dad and reaches out towards it. Guess
the real thing just isn't enough some times!

Ok, maybe this was more hilarious. Connor is obviously
getting a little bored with eating milk for every single meal!
