Making his daddy proud. My good buddy, Yuri, and his wife Eliza, got Zach the Sox receiving blanket. Obviously they have their priorities straight.
Wearing his new bib from Grandma Liz. It's a little big for him at the moment, but it definitely keeps the milk off of his clothes! And it'll still fit him when he's 14 ;)

He's already lifting his head and holding it up for ... almost a second. But still, a daddy can be proud, right? Darn tootin'.
Zach has upped his milk consumption considerably in the last two days. Up until Friday, he'd been eating about 21-23 oz per day over 8 or 9 feedings. On Friday and Saturday he ate 25 and 28.25 oz, respectively. For the stat geeks out there, that's roughly a 30% increase!
Needless to say, his face and belly are getting chubby ... and he sleeps very, very well.
The scab from Zach's umbilical cord came off on Friday night. This is the kind of thing that can make a new parent's day.
Yes, I'm sure every dad thinks his is the Best. Baby. Ever. But still, it needs to be said. And with a face like this, how could you argue?
